Classic in Camel: How to Style a Camel Blazer

Hey ladies!

Any time a conversation, article, or blog post about wardrobe staples or essentials comes up, you will always hear (or read) that a nice quality and good fitting blazer is a must. I love my black and navy blue blazers, but today I am going talk about the camel blazer and just how versatile (and essential) it is!

Camel is one of those color trends that isn't going anywhere anytime soon, as a matter of fact I think it's probably safe to put it in the classic category at this point! It's always relevant. It works in any season. Obviously here we are talking about a blazer, so this is more of a fall to spring piece, but the color camel (think belts, bags, shoes), works in any season. Camel is just so versatile and adds an element of sophistication to any outfit. There are literally endless options. I find myself reaching for this blazer more than my black and navy blazers combined.

You can wear this blazer in professional settings, out for a date, for a more put together shopping day and maybe a lunch date with the girls or your significant other. So lets just jump right in and have a look at a few different options!

Look Number One

I'd wear this for a shopping day or a lunch date. This layered look is perfect for fall. Under this classic blazer, I wore a gray sweater over my favorite gingham button up shirt from the Gap, with some classic navy jeans from Ann Taylor, simple pearl earrings, and Tory Burch leopard wedges add a little bit of sass.

Look Number Two

This outfit is all classic with a little bit of trend to top it off. I went with all black underneath to really make the blazer the focal point. Opened toed booties from Target add a bit of fun and trendiness to an otherwise classic look. Read about these booties here. I accessorized with gold bracelets and my gold monogram necklace from Jennifer Zeuner. I'd wear this outfit for a movie date, or dinner, cocktails in the city, it's so classic and versatile, you could pretty much wear it anywhere.

Look Number Three

How to dress up your blazer. Perfect for a holiday party or even to the office. A tartan button up shirt and pearls, paired with a sidewalk skirt from J Crew Factory are so classy and elegant. The blazer adds an extra element of class and refinement. Again I think the leopard wedges are an unexpected little surprise that really complete the look.

There are literally endless ways to style this blazer. Follow me on Instagram @Classicallycurvy. I'll be showing you more looks and different ideas throughout the fall and winter season that will hopefully inspire you to give this classic a home in your closet.

That's all for now!

Love,
Kate
